Camping

We went camping with my family in the rain this past weekend. It ended up being really fun. The kids played in the water hole left from fridays rain. Saturday my mom had them go on a hike and we picked up leaves and stuff to make bag puppets and then the kids made feather hats and bead necklaces and when they were done they earned a bow and arrows. The kids had so much fun. Sadly my batteries died so no pics of sat. on my camera.

Needless to say we couldn't keep the kids out of the water and mud. I think they all went to bed muddy.

We played cards part of the time. It was fun to relax in the shade.

I thought this picture captured my dad perfectly.

Cole trying to win at cards.

Landon caught a fish and was so so excited. He carried it around for a long long time. I talked him into putting it in the water on a line but he was certain it would get away. Then later that night he left it out so long that it was no good so they told me to put it in the fire so no bears would come. Landon was devastated!...but he survived.

Bronsen and Landon checking on something?

Proud as he can be of his catch!

Admiring his catch.

Don't forget the refreshing fishy beverage.
Thanks mom and dad! Love you.

Branding at Twin

Landon always tries to ride. What a good sport. This is how it ends up.

Landon branding.

Landon walking through the cows in the corral..

Monday we branded at Twin then helped Zeb push the cows to Dry Mesa. It was way hotter than I expected so we got sun burned. I was also very sore I forgot how easy it is to get sore riding. It was a really fun day for us. Zeb worked 18 hours that day so it probably wasn't as fun for him...maybe though....

I thought this picture was funny.

Zeb gave Landon a stick to make his horse go but he decided after a while he didn't need it but through out the drive he was crying because his horse was lagging behind. So when they hauled two lame bulls to the sell in Cortez Zeb bought him some real spurs......every cowboy needs some fancy spurs, fancy spurs according to Landon's favorite song. :]

The poor horse Landon pulled on the reins most of the day, to make him stop and to make him go. :)

Landon tried helping with the branding with my help.

and my very own cowboy!

Girls Trip

The first weekend in June we went on a girls trip to the parade of homes, and shopping with no kids, well plus the babies. It was a lot of fun.

I thought I'd share a few photos I took of the decor.

We went through some of this!

....but there was a lot of this too!

More photos of fun decor....I liked the farm grid.

I think we all had lots of fun and we were happy to come home
to our families.

Mormon Messages

I came across Mormon. Messages on the church web site. They have a bunch of clips on you.tube about different gospel topics this link is the latest video from apostle Quentin L. Cook. I thought it was very touching and puts life into perspective. I'm so grateful that the Lord Jesus Christ knows how each of us feels, and that our Father in Heaven loves us enough to let us grow in trials. Share it with those you love. You never know who it might help.

I also think it is very cool that the Church is reaching out in such a way sooo many people will come across it. It's a great missionary tool in our time.

Check out the Mormon. Channel at .lds.org or get the widget on my blog. It is free. They play music and church talks. Always a good idea!

Helping Hand

Last week Landon taped with my dad for a few hours

My dad said he actually was good help. I don't doubt it. He's a smart little kid. What a cute mess.

Lighting McQueen's biggest little fan!

Landon turned four and he was very happy to have a Cars party! Landon insisted on chocolate icing.....so the yellow and blue icing didn't show up...oh well he loved it!

He got a battery operated car/track system for his birthday so after some cake the "kids" tried it out. I have to admit it's a toy Zeb and I like to take our turn on.
Zeb spoiled Landon with a custom saddle made from a replica of the saddle Zeb, his dad, and his grandpa rode...so it was a sentimental gift. The old saddle is being retired and this one will allow future generations to enjoy a piece of heritage. Well worth it I think. He broke it in the day after his birthday gathering cow. Happy Birthday Little Man! We love you.

This Christmas Season

It has been a wonderful Christmas season...starting with all of the beautiful white snow. I think it brings with it a feeling of peace. We have had so much fun this year enjoying family and traditions. We finally were able to buy our own home. Wow! What a feeling. The first things I got out were our furniture and Christmas stuff to be sure we wouldn't miss the cozy feelings that mangers lite with lights and snow bring. We have had lots of enjoyable times already. Bailey came over to keep me company and we made some homemade presents for family and Visiting Teachers. My sisters, their kids and steve came over one afternoon and went sledding down the small hills behind our house.

The tuesday before Christmas we had the Einerson party at my mom's we had a talent show, my mom sent the kids on a christmas scavenger hunt, we ate soups and rolls and opened our sibling gifts. Amber had all of the boys names since she has half of the grandkids and she bought them these fun punching gloves that make fun sounds and the boys had a blast all night and ever since.

We missed the Johnson Christmas Eve party and went to Grandma Dalton's for Christmas Eve and ate a great dinnner and watched The Forgotten Carols play, it is way good. I have always loved those songs but I never realized there was a play. Zeb's parents are such good reminders of what is really important in life. They gave us food storage for christmas which felt just right. They are so awesome and we love you guys.

Christmas day we ended up in Blanding because of the snow. So we got to go to my mom's amazing Christmas breakfast. She cooks every great breakfast item out there. We had homemade hashbrowns, homemade bisquits and gravy, cut oranges, bacon, sausage, eggs, waffles, OJ, and I think there was more I forgot anyway it was amazing and she is so cute about it being traditional. We ended up staying there all day playing their rock band. Zeb was really into the guitar so we stayed and enjoyed the family that was there.

Also my grandpa and grandma johnson are so cute they started a tradition of giving there grandkids money for christmas and they include these little drawings and writings about each family or individual's unique qualities. This year they made these little homemade stocking ornaments and had all of the presents hung on their tree. I love them so much they care so much about their family and they're so creative.

Saturday we had a shower for bailey at my house and it was great. We had a tea party theme and went all out with my mom's china, flowers and lace. Just what girls love. We ended out that night with family coming over to eat cafe rio pork burritos and playing games.
It has been a great christmas season full of love and the spirit of christ.
